Glow Brick

Glow Brick has to be one of the coolest coffee table accessories we have seen in a long time. How do you explain a light bulb seemingly levitating inside a clear plastic brick that you don't even switch on?Looking like something out of the Tate Modern just isn't enough, there's a science involved. While you waste away your days watching cartoons and the kids run around biting your ankles, your Glow Brick is grabbing all the solar energy it can. Now, this is where the Brick really impresses. Once the sun goes down all the energy stored inside the light bulb releases itself as soft light, the light bulb then starts to glow inside the brick. You can use Glow Brick to add that extra something to those cosy nights in front of the fire, or just to add a touch of mood lighting to your post clubbing chill-out sessions. However you choose to use it, you're always left wondering exactly how it works.
